Attraction, Awareness, and Learning

The law of Attraction IS what you think but not how it’s marketed…

Be your own best teacher

We’ve all heard it:

“Change your vibration and you’ll attract what you want.”

It sounds simple. Magical, even. A universal hack, repeated by thousands of wealth gurus, to get rich, find love, or drive off in a luxury car—just by thinking better thoughts.

OK, sure. Change your vibration. I’ll wait.

But seriously—how would you even know if your “vibration” had changed?

  • Does money fly in through the window?
  • Does a Mercedes Maybach appear in your driveway with a bow, the keys, and a kind note?
  • Does your spouse now resemble a movie star?

Probably not.

Vibration Is Real. But Not Like That.

Yes, the universe has vibration. Everything in it has a unique frequency. That’s physics. But can you change your own vibration at will? And if you did—would that make you something other than human?

Here’s what we can do: As highly tuned beings, we can detect vibration. We can shift our focus—and that shift in awareness is powerful.

We can literally smell water better than sharks smell blood. We’re built for awareness.

“When You Change the Way You Look at Things…”

Wayne Dyer once said:

“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

But what does that really mean?

The Blue Car Theory

A man walks into a dealership and says,

“Everyone drives white, silver, or black SUVs. I want something different. I want a blue car. Nobody drives blue cars!”

So he buys one.

He proudly drives it off the lot, stops at a red light—and suddenly, he’s surrounded by blue cars.

Did those blue cars magically appear just to mess with him? Of course not. They were always there. He just never noticed them before.

His awareness had changed.

He didn’t become more aware of blue cars specifically—he became aware of the ratio of blue cars in relation to all the others. The ratio didn’t change. He did.

The Shift Isn’t in the Universe. It’s in You.

Thinking about something doesn’t alter its frequency. It alters your perception. Your awareness. Your decisions.

If you start focusing on money, you don’t magnetize hundred-dollar bills out of thin air. But your mindset changes. You start noticing:

“A lot of people struggle to get out of their cars… maybe I could sell something that helps with that.”

Or, less helpfully:

“That armored truck crew doesn’t seem to follow protocol. I bet I could roll off with a handcart full of money and no one would notice…”

(Maybe don’t act on that one.)

The Bottom Line

The Law of Attraction isn’t about summoning your dream life like a genie. It’s about becoming aware of opportunities you were blind to before.

When your focus changes, your options do too. And that’s where action—and real change—can begin.

So yes, what you think does matter. Just not in the way it’s usually marketed.

What does this have to do with education?

Our goal, as educators, parents, in fact, the whole community is to raise the consciousness and awareness of our students. It is to help them think! We’re not here to stuff information in their heads. We help them:

“To explore strange new worlds, To seek out new life and new civilizations, To boldly go where no man has gone before.” ~ Star Trek Introduction

But in doing that we teach them to solve problems, develop skills, and ignite their curiosity. When we awaken this awareness (and remember they naturally have that awareness!) and show them how to use it, they become aware of the universe and invite it in!

If this is what you want for your children, your students, yourself
